The journey from there to here

Hollywood is in a slump, as many media fans have noted. ANd so, ever in the interest of public service, I propose my offering to save Hollywood as we know it.

As you all know, big screen remakes of small screen successes can reap big rewards for the movie moguls. And, best of all, they can piece together plots from hundreds of episodes over the years to produce a 2 hour screenplay, virtually eliminating a screenwriter with any talent whatsoever and relegating the task to well trained monkeys.

And so, I submit to Hollywood my personal suggestion for a new remake. Because it was my idea, however, I want a cool million (in small bills, please...the kwik-e-mart doesn't take $50's or $100's). And I even know who to cast in one of the lead roles.

So, without further ado, my suggestion to Hollywood is:

With Freddy Prinze Jr as the lead, of course. He can use the break from hawking peanuts at the Rose Bowl.

Good choice. I would have said "Don Ameche", but I don't think he's still alive, is he?

Dabney Coleman!

I agree!  Thanks for a great suggestion!  And Don Ameche is too nice a guy.

Danny Devito as the man and john leguizamo {spelling} as Chico

I don't know what that is. Sorry

It's "Chico and the Man"

Danny Devito as the man and john leguizamo {spelling} as Chico

Danny Devito as the man, maybe...but I stick with Freddy Prinze, Jr. as Chico. Let him walk in daddy's shoes a bit.
