The journey from there to here

...and the beat goes on...

Seems that some of the residents of the Florida Keys are "rethinking" their decision to stay put and ride out Hurricane Wilma.  With streets flooded and their only artery to the mainland temporarily severed, they now question their decision to ride out the hurricane.

Let's evaluate this decision, shall we?

Several gulf coast cities nearly decimated over a few weeks' time by separate hurricanes, and a not entirely secretive rescue effort consisting of assistance from anything that could float or fly within a 100-mile radius should have tipped them off in the first place. Barring that, the fact that this same storm hit the Yucatan Peninsula as a category 5 a few days prior and that its exact track was pretty well mapped out by the National Weather service, and the idea to evacuate should well have fallen into the "duh!" category!

But perhaps they stayed put hoping to get free debit cards for strip clubs....Who knows?

Har, har...u r so bad!

But seriously, when it comes to the keys no one should stay put because they usually receive the brunt force or should that be brute force of the hurricanes. I stayed put because we were not asked to evacuate and we would only get the rains and wind speed of up to 75 mph which diminished to 40 mph by the time it came our way. All I did was stocked up, got candles and batteries and we all "hunkered down" or make that snooze away at home! So this time around was ok for us, thank God!
