The journey from there to here

Thirty dollars a month.

Most of us pay more for each of our utilities, for cable, for our cell phones. It should be regarded as a small price to pay for liberty.

And that is why I am issuing my "Liberty challenge", both here and on my sister blog (linked on sidebar). If every individual that voted for the Libertarian ticket of Michael Badnarik and Richard Campagna would set aside thirty bucks a month between now and the 2008 presidential election, that would mean a "war chest" of nearly $400 million dollars. That would be unprecedented for a third party campaign, and would actually propel the Libertarian Party into the echelon of "major players". It might even cause us to see our admission to the debates. Money could also be directed to state or local campaigns, and we would have the tremendous opportunity to make a difference.

So I am encouraging all liberty minded citizens to strongly consider my Liberty Challenge. The future of our nation's liberty may ride in the balance.

Like every other worthy cause that has contacted me in order to issue a "challenge" for money, I'd love to be able to donate $30/month to the Libertarian Party. If for no other reason than the ones you state. Another fun irony would be to take the Social Security money that I recieve (and the Libertarians would fight against, if given a say), and give it to them. ;~D
