The journey from there to here

OK, here's the deal.

As most of my regular readers know, I am revamping my resume for an upcoming job fair in two weeks. I have been trying to figure out how to use people online to "proof" my resume for extra input, and I think I've figured it out.

Feel free to respond in the comments if you want to proofread my resume. If you are not an established member of JU, please email me at: gideon.macleish@gmail.com and let me know a little about who you are. I want to be somewhat careful about this.

What you will see (I will set the article up for a custom audience, so you MUST be a registered user) will be a "mock" resume. All skills, facts, etc, will be accurate, all company names, individual names and place names will be fictional. This will be done so that you can critique the resume honestly but I don't need to divulge too much personal information.

I still have to OK uploading the resume with the library staff. A no answer on their part could throw a monkey wrench in the works. But I expect to have the resume available within a week for review.

I can review it for you, which may be helpful since I am one of the people who interview future employees here.  You can email it to me if all else fails.

Thanks, karma. I just may email you the REAL resume in case stardock ever decides to hire "remote" employees. Wouldn't hurt to have it on file.

Since I am only 2 years removed from the job market, I will be happy to read it as well.

I also will be happy to review it, if I remember to check my e-mail at an appropriate time. Hellion(dot)e(at)gmail(dot)com.
