The journey from there to here

Another point whore in another hall (sigh).

In response to my DARING to oppose one of our newest point whore wannabes, he made the insinuation that I might be, err, a little light in the loafers. Apparently, he's out of legitimate arguments (his exact quote was calling me a drama queen, with QUEEN italicized for emphasis).

What cracked me up was that somehow questioning my masculinity would offend me or hurt my feelings. Newsflash: it doesn't. I have nothing to prove to you, and your rudeness and name calling only underscores your own intellectual inadequacy; it says nothing in fact about me. Fact is, if I WERE gay, the only kind of gay I would be is flaming. I DO believe a person, ANY person, should be proud of who they are.

But the bigger issue is this blogger clearly placed himself in the category of insult lightweights. He's got a lot to learn about properly insulting people. Maybe he needs to study the JU libs a little harder.

What I'm having the most fun with is, the person in question is the individual who ASKED me to blacklist him. I'm getting good points whore mileage out of his idiocy, and he's limited in ways that he can respond.

Long story short: Gid's having FUN!!!!

Whew!  I am glad I read the comments.  I thought at first you were referring to me as I did call a bunch of people Drama Queens, but I did not capitalize the whole word.  And I did mention you in the followup, but in a good way, not derogatory.

And no, you still cant be POPE (oops!  I capitalized that one! )

A situation like this always makes me think people are so offbeat in their backwards thinking. This is a blog site. People converse over the internet, completely removed from what we consider hands-on reality. Our fuel here, what people on the internet run on, is personality and anonymous (I don't care how long you've known someone over the internet, never meeting in person automatically makes it an anonymous relationship)opinions. Gender and sexual preference are of no relevance over the internet. Sure we may deduce facts and figure genders and ages out from the content of their typed words. But really, when it comes to most issues, all the internet does is display's a person's frame of mind and/or their opinions. However the anonymity almost surely ensures a discrepancy between what you say over the internet and what you would say to the person if they were right in front of you. If Gideon's a fag but a muscular fag, not many people will tell him to his face. If Gideon's a fag and a wimpy fag, there will be many willing to be macho enough to tell him. The internet's anonymity can be pretty dangerous to real-life thinking. We need only to look at internet pedophelia as an example. And when it comes to a child's safety and well-being that example should be ample enough.....And DrGuy be so kind as to uncensor me from your nifty home so I can respond in turn to one of your recent threads.
