The journey from there to here

For anyone whose ever constructed a greenhouse, I have a question.

I'm looking at exhaust fans for the structure; the greenhouse catalog advises 1 CFM displacement per cubic foot of greenhouse space, meaning I would need about 1000 CFM displacement (8x16x8). I am looking at DC fans, however, as I could power them with wind power with no loss for inversion to AC, as well as providing the house with backup power in the event of a power failure. The DC fans I have found are much smaller, however, and I am wondering what the minimum air displacement needed to efficiently operate the greenhouse would be.

If anyone has any experience in this area, it would be greatly appreciated.
