The journey from there to here

The judge in the Michael Jackson molestation case has deemed the jury pool sufficient, and has ruled that there is no need to call any more of the roughly 300 jurors scheduled to appear. Is this any surprise to anyone?

The Michael Jackson case bears, without any risk of bodily harm, what amounts to a low paying job for the next 6 months, with the requisite 15 minutes of fame for all who will take the numerous lucrative offers that will come from morning shows, evening shows, talk shows and the like. Because cameras blur only faces, I think we can expect that any who are able will be carting off their purchases from Rodeo drive to ensure they are fashionably dressed for the media circus that will ensue. While they will have limited post trial opportunity, those that can wisely establish themselves as celebrity material will be able to milk their pseudo-celebrity for all its worth, and you can bet that the younger ones will likely find themselves guesting on that stupid teen drama with Kelly Osborne, and the older ones should be able to hit up "Desperate Housewives" for a walk on role.

I think if I were a Jackson juror, I would dogear the yellow pages section for agents and begin my work the day after the trial ends. this promises to be a jury pool consisting of the largest percentage of "aspiring actors" in history.

Jury of his "peers"? Seriously, where could you collect a group of freaks of that caliber?

Only in California!
