OK, folks, no fair peeking:

Who was the first woman to receive a US electoral vote, and what year? (I'll probably not be able to give you the answer until Monday due to computer accessability).

Ms. Tonie Nathan, of Eugene, Oregon, ran in 1972 as the Libertarian Vice Presidential candidate and was the first woman in United States history to receive an electoral vote. Ms. Nathan was also the first Jewish vice presidential candidate.

BTW I peeked. In fact, I just lifted the entire paragraph from the Libertarian home page and plunked it down here. I'm kind of a lazy history buff, but a buff none the less.
