The journey from there to here

According to Yahoo! news, Kobe Bryant, unsatisfied with Shaq's leaving him without enough targets of his selfish idiocy, has turned his guns on Karl Malone, for allegedly making a pass at his wife.

Now, regardless of whether Bryant's accusation is true or not, this article struck me as borderline hilarious. Regardless of what did or did not happen in regards to consent, Kobe DID "have sexual relations with that woman" who accused him of rape. Now, he's fuming at a teammate for daring to LOOK at his wife in the wrong manner? The way I see it, Mrs. Kobe's got a freebie coming if'n she wants it.

This is just another example of why drafting NBA players straight out of high school just might be the most idiotic trend ever started. Nobody ever doubted Kobe's physical ability, but somehow it seems as if his social, emotional, and psychological growth stopped the day the L.A. Lakers called his name in the draft.

You make an excellant point.  I am a Lakers fan, but I thought it was a mistake to dump Shaq and keep kobe.  Seems I was right, and the Lakers are learning the hard way.

I sat in wide-eyed, slack-jawed disbelief when I heard the Kobe/Malone story. While I'm planning my own Lakers article, let me say this much now -- Kobe's a punk and Jerry Buss needs a brain transplant.

I can't stand Kobe Bryant. He should've kept his mouth shut and brought into the media. Kobe needs to be told would be sending Kobe while he may be trying to repair his damaged "good boy" image, he needs to not bring the Laker organization into it. Ultimately, it's the Lakers organization, not the Kobe organization.

However, the Lakers management need to stop Kobe's butt, too and take control of their team back.
