The journey from there to here

In 18 hours, we will be on the road to Texas. Today has been exhausting.

I couldn't do any moving yesterday, as I had a debilitating headache from a pinched nerve in my T5 vertebrae (it's a chronic headache, not a tension headache by definition, but in reality it is one, as it has to do with when those vertebrae are messed up). What that means in layman's terms is I could barely move out of bed without feeling like I was going to fall over. I have learned how to recover from the headaches so that I'm usually down and out one day instead of two to three.

What that meant, though, is that I had six runs to the storage shed to make today, a set of bunk beds and a captain's bed to break down and move on, as well as an 8 foot dining room table and chairs, a dresser, and three bookshelves, among other assorted sundries. This occupied the entire 8 to 5 time the storage was open, after which I picked up my check for my Friday and Saturday hours with day labor, and took the extra car key to the friends we've borrowed the car from. I also had to call in my unemployment claim with address change so that I get my check for this week, and take the dog to the folks who will be watching her until we can come back to get her.

So, we will roll into the town nearest our town Wednesday at 3:30, then will stay overnight and I will look for a vehicle (which shouldn't take long, I don't think). Then, Thursday, we will be setting up house in Texas, and we plan a nice, leisurely evening stroll around town to get the feel for it. Hopefully, all will go well and we'll be back online Thursday night. If not, I will blog a little more before I "unplug" and will make that my TTFN blog.

signing off,

I came across this site looking for info on debilitating headaches resulting from damage to T5 area. I have been to numerous doctors in a variety of proffesions and not one has been able to figure out why I'm getting these monster headaches. Did you get diagnosed as to how/why the T5 vertibrae is causing headaches?

My doctor quest will continue when I get insurance, but in the meantime I've been getting such severe headaches from using my right arm in any repititious way or carrying anything heavy. I was in an auto accident Jan 01 and since have had an MRI done on the very painful area at T5, but doesn't show much for doctors to determine what's going on. Some nerve is getting pinched from spasming muscles and the pain goes up the right side of neck and all over the head into the eye area. I can't get out of bed for at least 12 hours and am vomiting and can't stand any light or sound. The episode is so exhausting (from the pain) that the next day I stay in bed to recoup and there's still quite a bit of pain still. Any help?
