The journey from there to here

I responded to Draginol's article about the far left, and I responded that there are sites where the far right is just as bad. I pointed out the "reverend" Fred Phelps as an example (he protested the funeral of Matthew Sheppard, and, as I found out elsewhere on the page I am about to link, is trying to have a monument erected commemorating Matthew Sheppard's "entry into Hell").

I was sickened, however, by what I read next. Apparently, today, as we are commemorating September 11, he and his gang of thugs are CELEBRATING "God's judgement" on September 11, 2001. Link

This kind of hatred makes me physically ill. It is the same hatred as that possessed by the animals that attacked us, and it needs to be denounced at every turn.

respectfully submitted,

Gideon MacLeish

I remember when Michael Moore was still doing television, one of his stunts was in part, chasing Phelps around the country to harrass him at his funeral protests.

Yep. Phelps is sickening. But I am willing to let the Right disavow him as so extreme he is off the charts. At least I was until President Bush decided to support a Federal Marriage Ammendment act. Mostly, though, Phelps is an extremist freak.

Oh yeah, and Moore didn't just harass Phelps. The "Sodomy Mobile" went on a marathon trip through all states that still have anti-sodomy laws on the books. Kind of a kinder, gentler ACT-UP, that.

Thank you for sharing this information with us. I had almost forgotten about this guy. I'm completely sickened right now and I cannot believe people would actually do something like that and still have the balls to call themselves American.

As far as I am concerned the far right has always been more dangerous than the far left.

...or the nerve to consider themselves Christians. That's not what Jesus stands for.

I consider them less dangerous. Reason being - they're so easy to spot, and therefore to denounce. The far left is more insidious with their hidden agendas.

Both are bad - the far right with their "holier than thou", and the far left with their "we know what's better for you than you do" attitudes.

I'm...gobsmacked.  Speechless.  That someone who claims to be a man of god is this vile and sickening and disgusting, that he can spew forth such hatred.

Wow.  I don't know what else to say....

I have never heard of this guy before - and I tell you what, thats a good thing...

Seem's like the kind of dude you would have to restrain yourself from injuring horribly. You have to wonder what kind of childhood a sicko like that had... I blame his parents.

No matter how many international assholes there are directing criticism towards the US - there are always internal jerks just as bad.

BAM!!!
