The journey from there to here
Pigeon lovers in Britain think they have a way to keep the nation's growing population of peregrine falcons from making an after dinner snack of their prized pigeons.

The groups are planning to spray their pigeons with a spray or feed them food to cause them to leave a bitter taste in the peregrines' beaks. While they acknowledge the proposed spray may affect the aerodynamics of their beloved birds, they feel there are few choices to stop the predatory falcons' raid on their pigeons.

My proposed solution: remember, peregrine falcons allegedly taste just like chicken.

But the animal rights folks won't like that.

signing off (tongue firmly planted in cheek),

Tom Lehrer~ Poisoning pigeons in the Park is a hit song if you listen to Dr. Demento.
In real life his political satire set to music makes that lame bore Mark Russell look like the
A$$hat that he is. And no he probably didn't use a thesaurus. (He's a bit of a geek> Shh its a secret)
I really wanted an answer? The pigeons would still be dead after the falcon hit them at 70 MPH.

Peregrine pursues
poisonous plumes percolate--
Peregrine plummets.

(i.e. generally the peregrine will eat only one or two poisonous pigeons in the park before pushing up pansies.)

Everybody can do it but me . . . man I suck.

Plenty of people posess the propensity to punish peers with persistently profuse parallel phrases. Wahine wishes she were well equiped to wage war with wanton words, but her writing's wholly a waste of webspace.

My favorite Tom Lehrer lyrics:

Oh I always will remember 'twas a year ago November
I went out to hunt some deer on a morning bright and clear
I went and shot the maximum the game laws would allow
Two game wardens, seven hunters and a cow.

Plenty of people posess the propensity to punish peers with persistently profuse parallel phrases. Wahine wishes she were well equiped to wage war with wanton words, but her writing's wholly a waste of webspace.

I see you've made your own lightsaber. Your jedi training is complete.

Nope, but he did check the dictionary......for spelling only, of course;)

I see you've made your own lightsaber. Your jedi training is complete.

I'll second that one--Wahine, you're awesome!
Actually, I love to read the replies that all of you make, it wouldn't be the same without each and every one of you.

singing....And maybe we'll do in a squirrel or two, as we're poisoning pigeons in the park......

Dr. Demento's devestatingly droll. Decadantly delightful and debonair dead puppy divas are definately dreamy.
