The journey from there to here

Ok, ok, I know.

Many of us on here have our own psychoses, delusions, etc, with which we deal every day, and those often spill over onto our blogs.

I was, however, extremely surprised to see that one of the most delusionary people I have ever encountered online now has, not one, but TWO of the "daily top articles" spots. He is still fairly low ranked, but is climbing quickly as people keep viewing his blogs to see him repeat the same stuff over and over, using the same title for every article (making it impossible to distinguish which is which at first glance).

I stopped commenting on his articles once I saw the fruitlessness of it, and the respondents to his posts fall into three camps: 1) the curious; 2) those concerned about his condition; and 3) those who think he's privvy to a secret truth that none of the rest of us have. The latter group concerns me as, although they are in the minority, they egg him on and keep this person from seeing that he genuinely needs help (assuming his blog isn't a hoax, which it may well be).

Anyway, outside of ranting, the only real point I have to make here is: I hope that somewhere in our responses this gentleman sees his true need for help and finds it. If he doesn't, it's possible that his paranoia could have a tragic end.

signing off,

Gideon MacLeish

Is there a ranking that I'm missing, or were you talking about the "Today's Top Referred Articles"? That would be quite different than "Today's Top Articles" I would think.
