The journey from there to here

On another blog, a blogger stated that "their God" loves gays. Besides wondering if they have little wooden tiki guys they worship, that allow them to definitively state what their God does and doesn't like (eg: "God likes broccoli", "God likes to watch Wapner at 7"), I have to wonder why they would think God loves gays, when nature clearly does not.

See, the ultimate goal of a species in regards to natural selection is its own advancement. This can only happen when people are procreating (I could use coarser terms, but this is a PG rated blog, and, well, I'm sure MOST of you get the picture. If not, there are trade magazines that can help you with that). Now, usually to reproduce, a species must produce surplus to account for attrition due to top level predators. Fortunately, my good friends Colt, Smith, and Wesson have allowed us to veto that whole attrition process in a rather effective way. However, the fact remains that nature wants us to procreate.

Well, it goes without saying that one can only procreate when one of each gender is selected in the...err, mating process. Can't do it with same gender partnerships. Doesn't work. And enough people have tried to say this is pretty conclusive at this point.

So if God created nature, then God could have created nature so that His chosen people could procreate. And if God loved gays so much, he'd let 'em have babies.

But Elton John remains childless!

Gid, you had me at:
"God likes to watch Wapner at 7"

Good points and a joy to read.

I have a Bible that tells me God loves gays. God sent His Son to die for their sins, not just your sins and my sins. Their irresponsibility with their bodies (not that I'm much more responsible - mm, gluttony) and the Gift does not diminish the love He shows for them.

What's going on, Gid?

As for Loca, if she has a different God, she can make up whatever she wants about him, can't she?

As for the mainier point of your article... good points.

I've pointed this out several times in regards to homosexuality being impractical. However, I don't think humans are going to go extinct anytime soon...those people on Maury are working overtime to make up for the gay loss.

Anywho, I don't really care who or what's gay...I'm just trying to find a straight girl for myself.

Far as I know God does allow Gay men to have babies they are called Lawyers.

Since nature discriminates against gays so heinously, it is up to the government to equal the playing field!!! :~D

The word 'gay' is offensive. If you wish to call a spade a spade, why not use a really, really modern bible........

Refusing to know God, they soon didn't know how to be human either--women didn't know how to be women, men didn't know how to be men. Sexually confused, they abused and defiled one another, women with women, men with men--all lust, no love. And then they paid for it, oh, how they paid for it--emptied of God and love, godless and loveless wretches.

or

Jesus said, "Moses wrote this command only as a concession to your hardhearted ways. In the original creation, God made male and female to be together. Because of this, a man leaves father and mother, and in marriage he becomes one flesh with a woman--no longer two individuals, but forming a new unity. Because God created this organic union of the two sexes, no one should desecrate his art by cutting them apart."

or

All around us we observe a pregnant creation. The difficult times of pain throughout the world are simply birth pangs. But it's not only around us; it's within us. The Spirit of God is arousing us within. We're also feeling the birth pangs.

I think I heard a sermon once where a fellas said, 'Nature does not welcome the presense of those who will not repent." Howver, one aught not to forget that God is merciful and does shower His mercy upon the undeserving, of which Saul of Tarsus (a wreckless sinner) admitted he was chief....turning to Romans 2 verse 1, always reigns in our judgmental tongues, for their but by the grace of God go you an I.

"For God so loved the fags that he gave them only perverted impulses, that whosoever indulgeth in them shall certainly perish, and dwell in hell forever."

As if he didn't give us all impulses? As if we didn't all want to have sex with people we weren't married to? As if he told people "It's all right to screw, boys, as long as it's a woman"? I don't think so. I think people like to forget that God said a lot more on sexual purity than "Don't be gay." Which works out great for the sexually impure.

"For God so loved the ( ... ) "

The world, is not the whole world.

Yes, it is. What, the word 'World' now just means SOME of the world? Great, excellent. What if Mason followed that logic? "Mason, bring the load to Minnesota."

He gets there with just some of the load, people are going to be pissed, because they meant the WHOLE load. Not just some of the load. Same concept here, the world means the WHOLE world.

The Spirit of God is arousing us within.

Heh, heh...that sounds dirty.

What verse is that, Aeryck?

I hope you mean Christian Dior, because you certainly don't mean Christ-follower.

Repentance is changing your mind. What is going to make you change your mind about lusting (regardless of the target)? 1. Knowing it's bad for you and 2. Knowing there's something better.

God despairs over lost souls. The one you're thinking of is Satan, who wants to bring everyone down with him when he goes.

Nevertheless, the sacrifice Jesus made cannot be rejected or you have rejected God. God isn't going to MAKE you be with Him for all eternity. You go willingly or not at all. Stop blaming God for decisions people make.

Oh Tex, you kak me up!

On topic...

Gays can actually make good biological sense. For example there's a species of bird (redheaded tit or something stupid like that) in Australia where multiple male birds will tend a nest and engage in incestuous, same sex lovin' until the chicks are hatched. Why? Because it means the nest is guarded at all times and makes it more likely that the family's genetic material will continue on.
