The journey from there to here

OK, I'm tired of this.

Sometime ago I was challenged by a certain individual on the text of the second amendment. I contend that it reads as follows:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

This particular individual contends that it is much longer, and that all texts available on the Internet are wrong and that we have been duped by a government that will not allow us access to our own Constitution. All, that is, except for him, the one person who read the REAL Constitution which was squirreled away into the San Francisco Public Library to protect it from the eyes of citizens.

So what do YOU think? Is my version, which is consistent with what has been accepted by legal scholars and taught in law libraries (and is, in fact, consistent with what law libraries including Cornell publish to their website) the genuine text of the Second Amendment, or are we the victims of a dark conspiracy, one so dark, so sinister, that our citizens (excepting those who have a SF Public Library card) are not given access to the laws that govern their lives? A conspiracy thus far advanced and supported by ONE individual with no corroborating source whatsoever, save his own deranged mind?

You be the judge. One of us belongs in the looney bin. I'll leave it to you to decide who.

Who is more crazy? The crazy man or the man who argues with him?

Never argue with a crazy man. It makes it hard for the bystanders to tell who is who.

LOL...point. But it's a major one for me.

We all have that particular blogger who gets under our skin. He's mine!

Leave my right to bare arms alone.  If we don't regulate bare arms, the next thing ya know most women will be walking around with hairy legs.  That is the last thing I want to see.  And that European look under their arm pits is not welcome either.  Bare arms is a good thing!  Protect my right to see bare arms!  I demand it!

I gotta agree with mason.  You are right.  But like the saying goes:

Never argue with an Idiot.  He will drag you down to his level, and beat you with experience.
