JU's resident psychoanalyst decided to make his big entry by launching a load of personal attacks against JU regulars. In writing about me, he made the following summary:
GideonMacleish - writes for the sake of writing - loves to hear his own voice - the louder the better. Arrogant.
In that summary, he proves he knows absolutely nothing about me. The part about being arrogant is true; I've admitted as much so many times over that this individual's "revelation" is nothing more than dry, boring rehash. He says "arrogant" like it's a bad thing, without realizing that he is perhaps, one of the most arrogant people to come on here. A pot like me's always glad to meet a kettle.
But more to the point -- do I write for the sake of writing? No, I do not. I write because I have something substantial to say, something important to me. If it's not important to you, go away -- I didn't invite you to my blog, and, while I appreciate readers, I am not dependent on them. In the case of this individual since my writing is such a burden for him, I've freed him up just a little by throwing him on my blacklist.
The reasons I write are many. I've been accused of being a crusader, an accusation I'll cop to as well. Again, people say that like it's a bad thing. If you are being pushed down or pushed aside, you certainly want a crusader around, don't you? "Crusader" only becomes a bad word when someone advocates a position that you don't personally like. In my case I get the label because I don't like the unConstitutional seizure of children from their parents without due process and absent any real, solid evidence. I crusade on that issue because someone needs to.
I write for a lot more reasons than that. I think my writing is important. But here's a clue for the ignorant amphibian appendage: EVERY WRITER THINKS THEIR WORK IS IMPORTANT! If they didn't, they wouldn't take the time to write it down, something this intellectual cripple doesn't seem to realize.
As for "Louder", may I ask HOW my articles are louder? I don't spam forums, I don't repeatedly bump my articles, I rarely use CAPS in my articles except for emphasis. I'm prolific, sure, but not loud in any sense of the word.
Congratulations, idiotboy. You just made it to my blacklist in the shortest time ever.
