I hate living in the future, but sometime's it's a necessity.
Since the beginning of the year I have been searching for anyone who endorsed my campaign in 2006, and for Libertarian and independent activists in my district. I'm pleased to report I'm hitting score after score.
The legislature's in session right now so activists are a little more out and about than at most times during an "off year". This also means they're invariably a little ticked off that things didn't go their way in the legislature, which is good for someone else with another solution...I'm just hoping at some point it translates into a paycheck.
My email inbox is busier right now than it was during the campaign season. In 2006, I was an unknown, in 2008, I'm a commodity. There are a lot more people willing to bank on me than there were the last go around.
I have to say that by the time next year rolls around I am looking forward to hitting the campaign trail full steam. Granted, I'll probably be twice as tired in November 2008, but maybe, just maybe, that will be a twice as tired person on the way to the House.
