The journey from there to here

NOTE: I've stopped sharing a lot personal because, frankly, I don't have the same values as a lot of people on this site, and I really don't want flack over someone's opinion. This is the rare personal blog, and, because it is such, I will have a short hook. This is not the place for editorializing:

There's been a lot of talk about "anchor babies", about illegals coming across the border and having babies in the United States to gain the automatic citizenship for their offspring.

As many of you know, Texas is one of the states that prides itself on being a "native" Texan. Someone who isn't is never quite the same as a "native".

And so it is with great pleasure I announce the arrival of our sixth child, our very own "anchor baby" born on Groundhogs Day at a very healthy 6 pounds 10 ounces.

(BTW, for those in the mood for a raunchy joke...ya know the old joke when someone has all girls where the fellows bug him and say he "knocked the balls off?"...well, I have six kids...four girls, all born in Wisconsin, one in NV, one in TX....I'm starting to think we FROZE the balls offa the oldest four! !)
