The journey from there to here

I obviously haven't been online much lately. Reason? Because I am currently seeing just how much stress one person can take before exploding like a giant ball of aluminum foil in a microwave. Going back to school, new job, play in production (opening next week) and the campaign are a lot on anyone's plate, plain and simple.

The fact that I am typing this from work should make it painfully clear that I am not overburdened with tech support calls, and I've read through the training manual 5,673 times (going for #5,674 after a double shot of espresso). But it has been interesting, to say the least. I am about halfway towards being ready to take my A+ exam (done with hardware, working on OS), and by the time we get through MCDST, I should have plenty of "on the job training".

The one thing I have gotten out of this week, though, is that I DEFINITELY need to go rewatch "Office Space". It seems increasingly relevant.

I'm just glad you get that movie.  I have a co-worker that had never seen it.  Loaned him the DVD (which the turkey still needs to return, lest I send someone to collect on the debt!!!) and asked if he enjoyed it.  His answer was so totally unenthusiastic.  Phhhht!  Waste of a disc loan.

Now, you'll have to excuse me.  I have some TPS reports to deal with and can't find the correct cover sheet.

Welcome to the corporate world! Hope it gets better. A boring job is as bad as a lousy job.

Yes, actually I have seen it. My campaign is TOTALLY underfunded, but the one bright spot has been the support we've received from the Strayhorn campaign.
