My fantasy baseball team is not doing too well this year. In fact, it is downright sucking.
To begin with, I made the error of releasing Ken Griffey, Jr. too early, anticipating his stay on the DL to approximate previous stays. I tried to pick him back up off of waivers, but was beat out by someone else.
I have a decent core for a team, though. It's just getting them to all click at the same time that is the problem. But that may all be about to change.
For the season thus far, I have kept my bench short because I have refused to release Roger Clemens. Especially following the Griffey fiasco, I didn't want to release him because I'd basically be giving him up to someone else if he came out of retirement. This became especially crucial in a recent trade, when I had to drop a pitcher to complete the trade. My cursor hovered over Rocket's spot, but I just couldn't do it.
Now, he may have a bad half year once he comes back. He's certainly old enough for questions to remain. But if he has the kind of year he's had most of his career, I will definitely not be disappointed for hanging on.
