The journey from there to here

NFL commish Paul Tagliabue has announced is retirement in July (Link ). Tagliabue, whose tenure began in 1989 when he succeeded Pete Rozelle, is staying on until NFL labor talks are complete.

As an NFL fan, I can't say I'll particularly miss him, but it does seem like another era is over. Now if we can only inspire MLB's Bud Selig to follow suit, we'd be set.

The Reason Bud Selig got it was because no one else wanted it!  I don't much care for him either, but the era of Kennesaw Landis is long over.

Landis was a snake, too! Don't get me started!

I don't even understand Selig's selection, frankly. Why would they want an OWNER (despite putting his shares in trust, he's still in reality an owner) as commish. That leads to messes like trying to contract the Minnesota Twins because they're the closest market competitor!

Because he was the only one willing to take it.

Hey, does this signal Condi Rice's resignation?

As everyone knows NFL commish is her dream job.......................
