I have decided that our family's savings plans needs to go on beyond saving for college, etc. When planning for their future, I have decided it's important to also include a lgeal fund for my children.

But it's not just for living wills, etc. The truth is, I realize my children may want to be parents, and that the only way I can assure them that they will be able to do so is to provide them with the money to retain an attorney.

As government becomes increasingly intrusive and Communism's ten planks gradually overtake our legal policy, it is imperative that they be able to defend their constitutional rights, if indeed they exist 20 years from now. The government is quickly overtaking the home, and the sad truth is, most Americans either don't care, or feel that the government has a right to such intrusions for their safety and security.

Fortunately, there ARE legal options for those who aren't blessed with extensive wealth. As homeschoolers, we now see membership in the Homeschool Legal Defense Association as a financial necessity, rather than an option. In other words, we've LEARNED our lesson, and are determined that our kids will learn it, too. Remember, if you will, that our experience came about simply because a few people don't LIKE us. Remember, also (for those who would callously accuse me of supporting child abuse) that we were exonerated of the allegations against us.

While I find it tragic that we would live in a world where we must DEFEND ourselves against a tyrannical government, the sad truth is, we DO live in such a world. But the sadder truth is, it doesn't matter to the vast majority of Americans
